To Evangelize the Lost
"And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations…" (Luke 24:47)
"…the harvest is truly plenteous…" (Matthew 9:37)
To Equip the Church
"May the God of peace…equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him…" (Hebrews 13:12 - NIV)
To equip is to repair, restore, and prepare. The soldier doesn’t enter war without being properly equipped with weaponry that ensures victory. He goes into battle with the reassuring confidence that if he becomes bloodstained by the enemy there is a hospital that will repair, restore and prepare him for dominance.
It is the churches responsibility to become a hospital for the bloodstained in battle. We must equip people not for mediocrity but superiority.
To Mobilize the Ministry
"After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come." (Luke 10:1)
Jesus recognized the people that would build the kingdom. He then mentored and mobilized them into ministry. Thus, the world was turned upside down. We must mobilize the ministry!
To Go by Giving to Missions
"And he said unto them, go ye into all the world…" (Mark 16:15)
Where we cannot go physically, we can go financially.
